Ahhh….. I’ve nourished my desire for Xanga…Well as I’ve come to conclude V-Day I learned, no man will make you as happy as your Mom can. Let me explain further. As I do every year, I dread V-Day because I will have to deal with for the day a young raging hormones adolescent telling other young raging hormones adolescent I Love You in a soap- opera fashion then see them maul each other in sweet kisses…. EWWW! Now I don’t say this because I myself didn’t have a Valentine but please… couldn’t we leave it at the flowers and the candy? Nothing more? Yeah well that wasn’t happening and so I gagged and dealt with this for the whole day. My valentine cards went well in school and all my friends were appreciative and I myself got a Courage the Cowardly Dog valentine from Marissa….. what a good friend. Now here’s the good part. I came home and planned to drown my sorrows in a bowl of cookies and cream ice cream when what to my wondering eyes would appear as a huge white tedddy bear that had a balloon saying I Love You. Curious as to who it was for, I looked and opened the card… IT WAS FOR ME!!!! Inside the card read, ” I’m no secret admirer but I admire you for being such a loving daughter…… Love Mom”. Too bad my Mom wasn’t home at the time I wouldv’e ran and hugged her. But she got her hugs when she came home. And the moral of the story is, never eat the hot porridge…. ok maybe that isn’t the moral…. I don’t think I even have one. But to those people who didn’t have a Valentine on V-Day, come to remember that God has a special someone waiting for you out there, and be patient to the time he brings them to you. Meanwhile the greatest gifts of love you can get may not have to be from a signifigant other, it could just be from your family who loves you as well. And with that left said Xangaroos, I’m gunna get going. Sianara and Happy Belated V-Day!
